A few days ago we woke up with an unexpected surprise when, when we went to review the news of the day on the internet, we were told that we had two options:
Either we accepted the cookies that are installed on our computer and allowed advertisers to show their products or services while we read the press or, if we did not accept them, we had to subscribe to continue reading. And this happened with all the media in unison.
Why did they all agree on the same date? Well, nothing to do with obscure agreements drawn up within the press lobby, but rather with the end of the deadline (January 11, 2024) given by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) for the adaptation of all companies to the guidelines on cookies that it published in its last Guide on the use of these files in July last year.
