FNE launches new study on the higher education market

The National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (“ FNE ”) launched this January 4, the 2024 market study, focused on higher education (the “ Study ”), which will evaluate three potential limitations to competition:

    1. Problems in student decision making , based on negative returns on investment that many programs have, problems with access to their information and trust biases.
    2. Disconnection between the offering of programs and the needs of employers in the labor market.
    3. Regulatory barriers and financing problems for institutions other than universities, competition problems in State-Guaranteed Credit tenders and rigidity in the structure of titles and degrees

Below is a brief description of the stages of the Study and the deadlines in which they should be carried out according to the calendar published by the FNE.
