Greenwashing: What is it and why should it be avoided?

“Greenwashing” refers to the practice where some companies project an image of environmental responsibility and legal compliance without substantiating these claims with concrete actions. It occurs when a company exaggerates or misrepresents its sustainability efforts to enhance its reputation with consumers and regulators.
