Law degree from LUISS University of Rome in 1990. Scholarship in Assonime. He taught at the Higher School of Economics and Finance (Ezio Vanoni) as well as at the Master of Tax Law at LUISS University of Rome.
Professional experience
He has extensive experience in VAT and other indirect taxes with reference to national and international issues. In 2010 he founded VAT Europe, an international study and research group. He also provides consultancy services in the field of corporate income, with specific regard to issues typical of multinational groups (transfer pricing, permanent establishment, intercompany financial transactions, etc.). He has also studied the main transnational issues in the field of employee income (fringe benefits, stock options, secondments of personnel, etc.). He has dealt in depth with the taxation profiles of non-resident artists and athletes as well as the most recent measures in the field of environmental taxation. He is also specialized in the areas of excise duties and customs law. He also has significant experience in tax litigation as well as tax controls and audits with out-of-court settlement of disputes.

Member of the IFA (International Fiscal Association). Panel Secretary at the Annual Congress in Rome in 2010 and speaker at the Annual Congress in Kyoto in 2007. Member of the IBA (International Bar Association). He was a member of the Study Commission for tax reform established in 2003 at the Luca Pacioli Foundation. He is currently a member of the Commission for international projects established at the Council of the Bar Association of Rome.
