Lipani has announced a strategic expansion of its expertise as a result of twelve high-profile professionals from Macchi di Cellere Gangemi joining the Firm with their experiences and solid track records adding to Lipani’s skillset.
From now and through 1 January 2025, Claudio Visco, Arnaldo Salvatore, Federico Di Cesare and Ernesto Pucci, along with their teams, will be joining Lipani, as well as Salvatore Lamarca, Anna De Luca and Lorenzo Lucchini, who will join as Of Counsels. Claudio Visco, President Elect of the IBA (International Bar Association), member of the Management Board of the association, will be part of the Lipani’s Executive Committee. He specializes in Banking and Finance, Energy, Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation and Arbitration, Criminal Investigations and white-collar crime. His team includes Andrea Gangemi (Civil Law, Commercial Contracts and Litigation) and Ernesto Pucci (Senior Vice Chair of the IBA Insurance Committee, specializing in Civil and Commercial Law and M&A in the Financial, Insurance, Real Estate, Energy and Healthcare sectors); along with Visco, the associates Alessandro Buttarelli and Maria Novella Di Giandomenico will also join. Arnaldo Salvatore, member of the IFA (International Fiscal Association) and IBA’s Tax Committee, is an expert in Tax Law and has extensive experience in international taxation, as well as providing judicial and extrajudicial assistance to large companies in tax audits and disputes; he also specializes in VAT, indirect taxes, customs issues, taxation of employment income (e.g. stock options) and environmental taxation. Federico Di Cesare, member of the IFA and IBA’s Tax Committee, is a Tax Law expert specializing in both national and international taxation, with a focus on corporate, M&A, transfer pricing, high-net-worth individuals, financial, and real estate taxation. He has broad experience in advanced tax rulings and international mutual agreement procedures. Alongside Salvatore and Di Cesare, the associates Giorgia Sforzini and Dimitra Michalopoulos will also join the firm. Salvatore Lamarca, based in the Rome office, and Anna De Luca and Lorenzo Lucchini, based in the Milan office, will join as Of Counsels. Salvatore Lamarca is an expert in European competition law, Antitrust and sector-specific regulations and will bolster Lipani’s existing team in these areas. Anna De Luca is an expert in international and European law, as well as international arbitration; she is a member of the ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Dispute) conciliators’ panel, appointed by Italy, and is listed as an “Arbitrator†and “Trade and Sustainable expert†in the context of European Union trade agreements with third countries. Lorenzo Lucchini specializes in Insolvency Law, Corporate Law and Commercial Law. Lipani has now 31 professionals and 10 staff members and marks another milestone in the firm’s growth strategy, aligning with its vision to not only expand its existing practices but also add new skillsets and specializations to better serve its target industries.
